When you enable the step tracking functionality on your phone you can earn more rewards with Carrot. You can track your activity with your phone (if you carry it with you when you’re active) or with a Fitbit or Apple watch.
To enable step tracking on your device, go to the “Steps” tab in your Carrot app, and tap the “Enable Steps” button. Then select the device that you will be tracking your steps with: Apple Health (if you’re an iPhone user) or Google Fit (if you’re an Android user), or Fitbit. Carrot also syncs directly with Apple Watch (through an Apple Watch app).
During the first week after you enable Steps in Carrot, the app will monitor how much you walk every day. After a week, you will receive your personalized step goal and will begin earning rewards. Since each persons’ physical activity habits are unique, so will your daily step goals. To check in on your progress each day, click on the “Steps” tab at the bottom of your Carrot app. Your step goal will be re-calculated every Monday, based on your median steps from the last 30 days. Happy stepping!
